The Alabama Irrigation Initiative improves farming communities and waterways by addressing unpredictable weather patterns in the state. By encouraging the adoption of water-saving irrigation systems and techniques such as drip, micro or center pivot irrigation, we can convert rain-fed farmland to irrigated farmland and use water-efficient practices to allow farms to become more sustainable during times of drought.
